Health Sciences Students’ Association (HSSA) Call for abstracts

The University of Alberta Health Sciences Students’ Association (HSSA) invites students to submit an abstract to present a poster at their annual Alberta Interprofessional Conference (AIC) on February 6th, 2016 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The HSSA is a student organization formed in 2001 that aims to unite the different health sciences faculties in order to promote interprofessional collaboration. Their membership consists of students from all eight of the University of Alberta’s health sciences faculties, which encompasses fourteen student organizations and more than 8,000 students at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The AIC Conference brings together students, faculty and health professionals of all health sciences backgrounds from all over Alberta to learn about and discuss recent advancements in healthcare from an interdisciplinary point of view. It is a one-of-a-kind event organized by students, for students to give them the opportunity to learn, teach, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the province. This year the HSSA will be co-hosting with the Nursing Undergraduate Association (NUA), with the theme Global Health Care: Home and Abroad.
